Re: Otwin und Musima

Sinfonia!!! So why everybody likes to say it was Musima?! :nea:

Thanks a lot Stefan. So Otwin remained independent until 1973. Right?

Otwin und Musima

Excuse me for writing in english.

Does anyone has trusty data or at least an aproximation about what year Musima incorporated the Otwin brand? It's usually admited that it was around 1973, but would it be earlier?

Thanks.

Hi Martin, Laminated and pressed tops have always constant thickness all over the plates, while carved tops usually (not always) have different thickness due to top's graduation. If the F-holes allow your fingers to pass through them, you can easily check this thickness variation. In my experience w...

vielleicht Wandervogelbewegung?
It makes sense. The construction details lead to think about that era.

Re: Does anyone recognize this brand?

Thanks for your replies. Here is the full guitar but I don't think it helps. Poor pictures. http://i15.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/d7/8d/08f5_1.JPG According to the lavish inlay it would point to a guitar from the first half of the 19th century, but the headstock and the tuners point out to a much modern c...

Re: Hawaii- Gitarre "Otwin Super", wo stammt sie her und wie alt

Hi Stefan, As far as I know nobody succeed trying to talk to the Windisch family about their former family bussiness. They're reluctant to do it and and seem to be bothered if anyone is asking. They not specially happy about it since Musima enforcedly incorporated Otwin in early '70s leaving the Win...
