Hallo Fab.

Excuse me for answering in English.

I have very little info about Harmonie. As far as I know, Harmonie was a Vogtland trader dealing with guitars from different manufacturers. I don't know who were their suppliers for now. Most harmonies I know aren't top quality instruments. Your guitar looks like the best one I've ever seen branded Harmonie. It's a typical schlaggitarre from Vogtland made in the '50s. The Rellog pickup it's surely an aftermarket addition. This was very common during the 50s. Many players added this kind of Rellog pickups to their guitars.

About value, it's hard to tell. Most of these unknown sell in a wide variety of prices, usually ranging from 150 to 450 Euro. One guitar really close to the one you have was sold at ebay last week for 154€. While the last one I bought of this type was around 450€. One never knows.

Check for markings or a signature inside the sound box though the F-holes. A small mirror and a flash-light use to be helpful. Sometimes the mames of the builders or dating numbers can be found inside.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Gruss.

Everytime I see one of these schlaggitarren I always wonder why most of them look so similar. The same hardware, the same bridges, the same pickguards, the same shaped necks... This leds to think that many builders bought bulk parts from the same suppliers. Has this hypotheis make some sense? Stelol?

Shallow you are right! This depends on the historie of Violin building. For the most parts of a Violin there are different specialised handworkers like Schachtelmacher (body),Stegmacher (bridge),Bogenmacher (bow), Lakierer (vanisher) and others! For Guitars they have different handworkers for mechaniks / pickguards/ pickups / Inlays and so on and they sell this parts to most of the guitarbuilders!

Thanks a lot, Stefan.

I think Harmonie is a trader brand. Harmonie guitars are really dissimilar in so many aspects to think they come from a single builder.

Hallo Gitarrenfreunde,

Hannes
