Re: B&S Blue Label Tenor serial number ?
Hello,
There are two tenor-models of B&S "Blue Label". This miracle can just be solved by getting some pictures.
Please a clear photo from the right side. And one from the thumb rest.
Thanks,
Tobi.

Yes, this is enough. Thank you.
Your Tenor is from the first B&S model line.
#4427 was built in 1977.

Re: B&S Blue Label Tenor serial number ?
Could You please name the key differences between two models if it is not too much trouble?
Re: B&S Blue Label Tenor serial number ?
Ok - the following was said by B&S:
"
Optimization of tonal parameters such as tuning, response, intonation and improvement of the fingering. On the tenor, changes were made to the scale (Mensur) in order to achieve an optimum sound radiation. I.e. a modification of bell diameter and angle. In addition, the tone holes were changed in size and position to ensure first-class tuning. Furthermore, a different bow and an optimization of the grip sections.
"
By the way - all this was done in order to even improve a horn, which was already excellent! In reality, the result was there, but it was definitely not a big step forward. Is there any other comment from anybody, who owns both model lines with the same plating / configuration?
... you are welcome ...

Thanks a lot!
I wish i knew which model is mine, the "already excellent" or the betterish one... But whatever it is, it sounds like a win for me.

Re: B&S Blue Label Tenor serial number ?
Your Tenor is from first model line. In 1984 / 1985 the second B&S model line started with the a.m. improvements.
